
Senior research and evaluation expert and scientific advisor helping governments, UN entities, bilateral donors, EU institutions, and INGOs in generating evidence that informs policy, programming, decision-making, and learning.
With extensive field-based experience across Africa, particularly in the Sahel, I design and lead complex research and evaluation studies using qualitative and mixed-methods approaches. My expertise includes maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH), adolescent SRHR, gender-based violence (GBV), female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C), child marriage, child protection, social protection, and women’s and girls’ empowerment.
I have served as Team Leader, Principal Investigator, Senior Gender Expert for UN agencies (UNICEF, WFP, WB), bilateral donors (GIZ, FCDO, Enabel), governments, EU institutions, and international NGOs. I currently serve as a Scientific and Technical Advisor with the WHO/HRP Research programme, and I have supported UN Women as a Technical Reviewer on GBV issues.
I bring strategic and human-centred leadership, methodological rigour, 20+ years of field experience, including in difficult settings. I have led large multidisciplinary teams and large-scale field research, and collaborated closely with diverse stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
Previously, I held senior research positions at the University of Reading (UK), Université Laval (Canada), and the University of Liège (Belgium), and I have collaborated with the University of Oxford (UK).
